About the Role: Substitute Teacher in Ringoes, NJ
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Ringoes, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the flexibility to choose your assignments and work on your own schedule. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to students in the absence of their regular teacher.
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning space.
- Adapt to various teaching assignments, including different subjects and grade levels.
- Develop and implement lesson plans as provided by the regular teacher or as needed.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, administrators, and parents.
- Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your designated Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback and develop your teaching skills.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your teaching practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits.
- Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor.
- NJ Substitute Credential.
- Background check and TB risk assessment (costs reimbursed by Scoot Education).
- Full COVID-19 vaccination.
- A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Substitute Teacher or in a related educational role.
- Specialized training or certifications in areas such as Special Education or ESL.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and age groups.
