About the Role: BAR Tutor
As a BAR Tutor with Kaplan, you'll be part of our esteemed Bar team, playing a crucial role in guiding students through their bar exam preparation. Our BAR Tutors are qualified legal experts who provide personalized support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve success in their bar exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personalized Student Support: Assess student strengths and weaknesses to develop tailored plans for success, providing study strategies, feedback, and skill-building exercises.
- Expert Guidance: Answer student queries on substantive law, study skills, writing skills, and test-taking strategies, utilizing your expertise to clarify complex concepts.
- Adaptive Instruction: Adjust your teaching approach based on student understanding, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to excel.
- Motivational Support: Engage and motivate students, fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages growth and confidence.
Essential Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD Degree): A JD Degree is a fundamental requirement, ensuring that you possess a deep understanding of legal principles and practices.
- Teaching/Tutoring Experience: A minimum of 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience is required, with a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals.
- Bar Exam Expertise: You should have comprehensive knowledge of bar exam content and strategies, particularly in relation to the written and/or Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) components.
