About the Role: Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk
As an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Fred Meyer, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless online grocery shopping experience. You'll be responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders, assembling orders, processing payments, and loading orders into customers' cars. Key Responsibilities:
- Select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
- Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payments, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at the store for pickup.
- Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond to calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen and follow directions given in the note section of customers' orders.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system and follow policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions in the event of an out-of-stock.
- Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and notify store Pick-Up supervisor or other store management of items in need of repair.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures and assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
Essential Qualifications:
To succeed as an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk at Fred Meyer, you'll need:
- Ability to work without supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read shelf tags and follow directions.
Preferred Experience:
While not required, previous experience in a related field can be beneficial. We're looking for candidates with:
- Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment.
- Experience stocking shelves or working as a cashier.
