About the Role
We're collaborating with a California-based school to find a skilled SLP to work from home for the remainder of the school year. As a virtual SLP, you'll have the opportunity to work with K-12 students with mild-moderate disabilities, providing essential speech therapy services to support their educational and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality speech therapy services to K-12 students with mild-moderate disabilities via tele-therapy platforms.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapy sessions to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, including session notes, progress reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Utilize technology and digital tools to facilitate effective tele-therapy sessions and enhance student engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech therapy and incorporate new techniques and strategies into your work.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A current ASHA CCC certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- A valid California SLP license.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school-based setting.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in tele-therapy platforms and digital tools.
- Reliable high-speed internet access to ensure seamless virtual therapy sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with tele-therapy or online speech therapy services.
- Knowledge of California special education laws and regulations.
