Job Overview
As a Remote Junior Bookkeeper, you'll be an integral part of our finance team, working closely with our Controller and Accounting Team to ensure the smooth operation of our financial functions. Key Responsibilities
- Generate and submit daily invoices for Fresh and Frozen Seafood orders, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Process invoices via customer portals, maintaining seamless communication with our customers.
- Accurately match purchase orders to vendor invoices, verifying receipt of goods and payment accuracy, and addressing discrepancies when necessary.
- Assist the Sales Management team by reviewing invoiced gross margin reports, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
- Manage customer credit/billback processes effectively, ensuring that our customers receive accurate and timely credits.
- Organize and enter Accounts Payable (A/P) bills as required, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confirm that all discretionary invoices obtain approval from department managers, ensuring compliance with our financial policies.
- Maintain precise vendor records and an organized filing system, ensuring easy access to financial information.
- Aid in reconciling storage bills with inventory prior to processing payments, demonstrating your analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Participate in special projects as needed, showcasing your flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Process customer sales orders for billing once shipping documentation is received, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Contribute to the accounting month-end close activities, playing a key role in our financial reporting and analysis.
