About the Role: Design Program Manager at Instagram

As a Design Program Manager at Meta, you'll be a vital connector and problem-solver, supporting various aspects of our product teams to enable them to focus on designing, building, and delivering products. Your role will involve improving team communication, collaboration, and removing barriers to ensure our teams stay on track. You'll leverage your organizational and interpersonal skills to drive specific design initiatives, grow team culture, industry expertise, and team impact, and work with cross-functional teams to establish new ways of collaborating.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and drive large, organization-level product initiatives forward with multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines, and complex components.
• Prioritize, evaluate trade-offs, propose clear solutions, and communicate in a structured way to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Define and manage multi-team strategic initiatives that drive efficiency and impact, contributing best practices to educate teams.
• Own and work with teams to drive progress against goals and objectives, establishing clear next steps and owners while resolving blocks that hinder progress.
• Proactively assess risk, raise red flags, and resolve issues before they become problems for larger teams.
• Serve as an operations expert to the product team and trusted leader across the organization, coaching and sharing expertise with colleagues.
• Utilize compelling communication to the right audience to get buy-in and feedback, being proactive in problem-solving and effective information dissemination.
• Define and measure the impact of programs and initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively, refining and iterating to ensure adoption and reception.
• Scale programs and initiatives when necessary, delegating effectively with clear expectations.
• Source and manage operational budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience handling complexity and navigating uncertainty with teams for large-scale projects from concept to execution.
• 3+ years of experience working with product teams or projects (or other similar fields) from roadmapping through delivery.
• Experience working directly with product designers, UX researchers, and content strategists.
• History of working independently and without oversight.
• Experience driving product or business strategy in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience managing vendors and contractors.
• Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to influence cross-functional relationships to drive team-wide touchpoints and feedback loops, including internal meetings and communications.
• Act as a culture carrier and support the team culture in light of evolving needs.
