Job Overview

The Division of Program Development and Management is looking for an innovative and results-driven Medicaid Program Advisor to join the Bureau of Health Access, Policy, and Innovation. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in overseeing programs and enhancing policies that impact the health of Medicaid members. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the healthcare industry while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee activities related to the Medicaid Evidence-Based Benefit Review Advisory Committee (EBBRAC), including managing and directing contract activities with the EBBRAC facilitator.
• Coordinate related meetings and communicate directly with internal and external stakeholders regarding EBBRAC.
• Assist in the process related to Medicaid's clinical trials coverage, telehealth initiatives, and associated ad hoc projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and healthcare professionals.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on Medicaid program policies and procedures.
• Analyze data and research literature to inform policy decisions and program development.
• Develop and deliver presentations, reports, and other written materials to diverse audiences.

Qualifications and Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare experience in program policy, Medicaid, and Medicare.
• Strong writing and communication skills for diverse materials and audiences.
• Master's degree in a health-related field, public policy, or administration.
• Familiarity with scientific research literature and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team/matrix environment.
• Willingness to travel to Albany and other parts of the state as needed.
