Key Responsibilities:
- Design, coordinate, and execute live productions of live remote and REMI games
- Supervise technical teams for live event productions, providing guidance, feedback, and development
- Collaborate with Remote Operations to determine technical facility and personnel needs for broadcasts
- Work with Producers and Coordinating Producers to determine creative vision and technical direction for shows
- Organize and lead meetings to develop production and operational strategies
- Make ongoing decisions regarding what images and sounds will be broadcast
- Work with engineering professionals to integrate all elements in a broadcast, including graphics, enhanced technology elements, switcher effects, and composite music
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in live event production, including AP, Production, Producer, and Director roles
- Deep understanding of technical roles and responsibilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, communication, journalism, or a related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of complex live game directing experience
- Understanding of the financial implications of directing live remote and REMI games
- Passion for popular culture and helping to define ESPN viewer tastes
- Understanding of market positioning and strategies for assigned games
