Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Remote Chat & Text Therapist to join our EMPACT team. As a full-time remote role, this position offers the opportunity to provide direct service counseling, ongoing counseling, prevention services, and education services to adults, families, and youth. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a demonstrated capacity to remain calm in crisis situations. Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Answer all chats and texts in a timely and professional manner while meeting agency goals.
- Clinical Assessment: Effectively assess clinical situations and needs of all chatters.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality service delivery, including clinical care and all associated documentation.
- Documentation: Complete clinical documentation thoroughly, clearly, and accurately, including information critical to data collection and reporting to funders.
- Crisis Intervention: Monitor call-in times for clients placed on a 72-Hour Suicide Watch or Safety Follow-Up and work beyond scheduled hours if necessary.
- Supervision: Directly supervise remote clinical staff.
- Meetings and Training: Attend all required meetings and training courses, even if they fall outside of the regularly scheduled shift.
- Compliance: Comply with and assure compliance by staff with the agency's standard of care for service delivery.
- Program Development: Take an active role in ad hoc committees and work groups as assigned by the Manager or Director of Programs.
- Training and Education: Provide instruction and training for interns and staff.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: In Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the behavioral health field.
- Crisis Experience: Crisis experience is preferred.
- Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Program Development: Program development experience is preferred.

- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Multitasking: Ability to multitask.
- Empathy: Demonstrated ability to relate positively and with empathy to all persons.
