Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, warm, and inviting classroom environment that is clean, organized, and conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, needs, and achievements to foster partnership and support.
- Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to encourage parent and community engagement.
- Adhere to all minimum licensing, quality-rated, and accreditation guidelines, as well as company standards, to maintain a high-quality standard of care.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, following our nutrition guidelines and USDA regulations.
- Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other required records.
- Partner with team members and leadership to achieve center goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful as a Lead Teacher at Childcare Network, you'll need:
- Genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families.
- A positive attitude and self-image, with a commitment to innovation and creativity.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, parents, and children.
- 1-3 years of teaching experience or certification (we'll support you in obtaining certification if needed).
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to pass the state-required criminal background check.
- Meet all state certifications and requirements.
