Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative - Utility Services, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer inquiries and resolving complaints concerning utility bills and services
- Processing customer utility payments through cash registers and maintaining accurate records
- Processing and preparing accounts for utility billing and taking requests for letters of credit
- Managing landlord and rental property files, as well as active utility files
- Interviewing the public on matters requiring the interpretation of office policies and procedures
- Processing customer applications for utility services and performing related duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Essential Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent required
- Knowledge of business English and arithmetic
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to keep records and make reports
- Ability to perform a variety of clerical tasks, such as typing, filing, balancing, etc.

- Experience in clerical work involving considerable contact with the public and handling money
