Job Overview
This hiring is being conducted for DSP Payments within Japan, a team under the umbrella of the Marcopolo project. The goal of this project is to create a streamlined process for payments to be validated and go through with little to minimum field operator input. As a Transportation Specialist, DSP Payments (Japan), you will be responsible for validating daily payments, handling payment-related escalations, analyzing data, and creating reports for stakeholder visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate daily payments: Through compliant processes, validate daily payments without any misses, ensuring timely and accurate payments to our DSPs.
- Handle payment-related escalations: Resolve payment-related escalations through written and verbal communications within a fixed SLA, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Analyze data and create reports: Analyze provided data and create daily/weekly/monthly reports for stakeholder visibility, providing insights into payment trends and network performance.
- Escalate to leaders: Systematically escalate to the right leaders to ensure problems or variance in the provided information receive the right visibility and attention.
- Comply to performance metrics: Understand and comply with performance metrics that assist in driving business results, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
A Day in the Life
As a Transportation Specialist within DSP Payments, your day will be focused on four main aspects:
- Validation: Validate daily payments by combing through multiple different internal portals, tools, and datasets.
- Escalation Handling: Deep dive into requests (through tickets) and work with internal and external stakeholders to correctly process the request.
- Performance Metrics: Comply to internal performance metrics and track their status, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Reporting: Create daily/weekly/monthly reports to provide leadership visibility into payment trends and network performance.
About the Team
The centralized DSP Payments team handles daily verification and exception handling of factors impacting payments to our third-party delivery partners (DSPs). We work on validating processes and payments for them to stay compliant while ensuring smooth flow of payments to the DSP. Our team is also constantly working on understanding trends within the network and creating automation and suggesting programmatic changes to streamline on-ground operations.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree: In a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics.
- Excel skills: Experience with Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
- Problem-solving skills: Good problem solver with the ability to analyze data and identify issues.
- Communication skills: Intermediate English knowledge, verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Cultural awareness: Inclusive to all cultures, with a strong understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion.
- Repetition and efficiency: Comfortable with repetition of work and finding opportunities to make it more efficient.
- Curiosity and learning: Curious to learn and willing to adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Shift work: Willing to work in overnight shifts, as our operations run 24/7.
- Variable week offs: Comfortable with variable week offs (Non Sat-Sun).
- Return to Office (RTO): Willing to shift to a work-from-office model as and when required by Amazon.
