Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate transcripts of electronically-recorded judicial proceedings, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
• Certify the correctness of transcripts prepared, adhering to established standards and guidelines
• Process transcript requests, engage in written correspondence with requestors, and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain records and filing systems to facilitate storage and retrieval of transcripts prepared, ensuring confidentiality and security
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Court Administrator, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
• Utilize computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, to efficiently complete tasks and meet deadlines

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Graduation from high school or equivalent required; one year of court-related experience preferred
• One to two years of experience as a typist, with strong editing and punctuation skills, including knowledge of transcript preparation formats and requirements
• Proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; ability to quickly learn new software applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other employees
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
