Job Description:
As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for carrying out the daily educational program when a teacher is absent. Your duties will include:
- Following and teaching lesson plans to ensure continuity of education
- Aiding students in understanding subject matter and providing individual support
- Maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment
- Reporting any student injuries, illnesses, or serious discipline problems to school administration
- Performing additional duties as directed by school administration
Qualifications:
We require:
- Non-Certified: Minimum of 60 college credits and NJ Substitute Certification (our hiring coordinators can help you obtain this)
- Certified: Valid NJ CE, CEAS, or Standard Teacher Certification
- NJ Criminal History Letter and Tuberculosis test dated within 6 months from date of hire
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
