Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Specialized Class Instructor to teach, organize, and supervise instructional classes for active aging adults in various areas of expertise. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and teaching engaging classes for adults 55+
• Overseeing the use of facilities and ensuring participant safety
• Maintaining accurate records of class attendance and communicating effectively with supervisors, staff, and participants
• Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with participants, coworkers, and the general public
• Assisting with marketing and distribution of program materials
• Inspecting program areas and equipment for potential hazards
• Adhering to department policies and procedures

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least one year of experience in a specific program area
• Experience working with adults 55+ (preferred)
• Sufficient skill in a specific area, with the ability to develop a teaching plan and communicate effectively
• A positive attitude, patience, and a willingness to learn
