Key Responsibilities: Driving Clinical Excellence
- Telephonic Outreach and Collaboration: Engage in telephonic outreach with treating providers to discuss evidence-based guidelines, identify opportunities to close clinical quality and service gaps, and implement care plan changes that can positively impact healthcare expenses.
- Collaboration with Operational and Business Partners: Work closely with operational and business partners to develop and implement clinical and quality initiatives at the site and customer level, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and industry best practices.
- Evidence-Based Medicine: Apply expertise in evidence-based medicine (EBM) and InterQual care guidelines to inform care management decisions, ensuring that our members receive high-quality, medically necessary care.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to our team of nurses and support staff, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and ensuring that our care management practices are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate
- Medical Licensure: Possess an active, unrestricted medical license in Indiana and reside within the state.
- Board Certification: Hold current Board Certification and maintenance in an ABMS or AOBMS specialty, demonstrating expertise in your area of specialization.
- Clinical Practice Experience: Bring a minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience to the role, having developed a deep understanding of the complexities of inpatient care management.
