Job Description:
We're seeking a motivated and career-minded Accounting student to join our fast-growing, tech-enabled services company. As an Accounting Student, you'll have the opportunity to work with a team of seasoned CPAs, gain exposure to the NetSuite ERP system, and contribute to an efficient month-end close process. You'll also gain valuable experience in Mergers & Acquisitions and develop your skills in corporate accounting.
The ideal candidate is an undergraduate student majoring in Accounting, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to apply their knowledge in a professional setting. We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate your academic schedule, allowing you to balance classes, homework, and college life.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general accounting duties related to month-end processes
- Maintain accurate financial records using current technologies
- Input daily transaction information in NetSuite, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
- Assist with billing and customer invoicing
- Perform tasks within established processes and procedures
Requirements:
- Junior or Senior year in Accounting program with high academic performance
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, applications, and methods
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Attention to detail and self-starter attitude with tenacity and drive
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to provide status updates on work with deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed related internship or co-op experience
- Experience with accounting ERP systems, including NetSuite
