Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Program Manager, Healthcare Data Analytics to lead internal business projects and programs that drive data-driven insights and inform strategic decision-making. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and project management skills to deliver high-impact projects that meet critical business needs. As a Program Manager, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and external vendors to design, develop, and deploy data analytics solutions that drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex data sets using Excel, SQL, and other data analytics tools to inform business decisions and drive project outcomes.
- Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, develop functional requirements, and design data analytics solutions that meet those needs.
- Oversee the work of external vendors and internal teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality and timeliness standards.
- Apply medical billing/coding knowledge to support payment integrity projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain business requirements documents, test plans, requirements traceability matrix, user training materials, and other related documentation.
- Generate and distribute standard reports on schedule, providing insights that inform business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and organizational change management, developing recommendations for operational leaders.
- Communicate project status, results, and insights to stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in project management, data analytics, and healthcare operations. Our ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of Program and/or Project management experience, with a focus on data analytics and reporting.
- Operational Process Improvement experience, with a track record of driving business outcomes through process enhancements.
- Healthcare experience, with a understanding of medical billing/coding, healthcare operations, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Visio, with the ability to develop project plans, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with different levels of leadership across the organization, with a ability to build strong relationships and drive collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- A Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years of Program and/or Project management experience, with a focus on data analytics and reporting.
- Managed Care experience, with a understanding of managed care operations and industry trends.
- Experience working in a cross-functional, highly matrixed organization, with a ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
- PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, and/or comparable coursework, demonstrating a commitment to project management excellence.
