- Position: Paraprofessional Kindergarten Support Specialist (#1950)
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional Kindergarten Support Specialist to join our team at NYE County School District. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting our teaching staff in improving literacy outcomes and assisting with special education goals, modifications, and accommodations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teaching staff with instructional activities and student support
- Help implement special education goals, modifications, and accommodations
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and families
- Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs
Requirements:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- Paraprofessional requirements as per ESSA (48 College Credits or Passing ETS Paraprofessional Assessment)
- Proof of qualification to be uploaded in application
- Excellent English usage and grammar skills
- Knowledge of educational, behavioral, and emotional principles and techniques
- Ability to relate to adults and children of all ages, particularly those with handicapping conditions
- Current CPR certification and First Aid training
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with toileting needs
