Well.ca is a trusted destination for better-for-you everyday essentials and wellness brands. They are seeking a Merchandising Assistant to support the category management team, assist with content creation, and manage product categorization and inventory analytics.
Responsibilities
- Onboard new products and maintaining new product targets
- Create unique product-level content to support SEO
- Ensure that the products are properly categorized and merchandised
- Liaise with vendors including contacting vendors for content and imagery and new product listings
- Support Category Merchandising programs, e.g., visual merchandising on site as well as marketing programs
- Conduct website analysis to identify product opportunities (e.g., identify products with high traffic and low conversion and trouble shoot root causes)
- Manage discontinued items
- Support Category inventory management analytics and efforts
- Conduct category analysis as required
- Other duties as required
Skills
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft skills including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Ability to work with a team in a multi-location environment
- Strong verbal/written communications in terms of composing reports/results
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset
- A can-do self-starter who is tenacious and creative in finding ways to get things done
- Someone who is able to share key insights in a clear, concise and straight-forward fashion
- Someone who is energetic, works hard, and is fun to work with
