About the Role: Manufacturing Operations Manager
The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for leading the operations of a production facility during a specific shift. This involves coordinating and supervising the activities of all manufacturing employees, building capabilities in frontline employees and their direct leaders, and ensuring that business objectives are met. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of all manufacturing employees during the shift, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
- Build capabilities in frontline employees and their direct leaders in areas such as centerlines, CILs, defect handling, and other IWS tools/systems.
- Provide support and guidance to employees to help them perform their duties effectively, and develop frontline leaders to effectively support their operating teams.
- Coordinate work across business functions, including quality, maintenance, and production, to ensure smooth operations across shifts.
- Communicate with line and department managers to ensure seamless operations and address any issues that may impact business results.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and improve efficiency, driving business objectives forward.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, and employees are working in a safe environment, maintaining accurate records and generating reports as needed.
- Monitor operations and make necessary adjustments to meet business objectives, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact business results.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma (or GED) or equivalent.
- 2+ years of previous experience in a supervisory role in a production environment (preferred).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, line managers, and department managers.
- Knowledge of production processes and equipment, including maintenance, and quality systems.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
