About the Role
As a Licensed Therapist with Uwill, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and well-being of college students through teletherapy sessions, crisis support, and wellness services. This is a unique opportunity to work in a part-time, remote setting with flexible scheduling and the freedom to choose your own hours. As a 1099 independent contractor, you will have the autonomy to manage your caseload and practice in a way that aligns with your values and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an ongoing caseload of clients from initial session to graduation from care
- Conduct video, telephone, or chat sessions with students using evidence-based practices and SMART goals tailored to their needs
- Practice culturally competent care to meet the needs of a diverse client base, including first-time therapy seekers, BIPOC students, LGBTQ+ students, first-generation students, veterans, and athletes
- Adhere to Uwill's risk assessment and management process, including assessing for risk during initial sessions and as needed thereafter
- Complete session notes within time frame expectations and respond to student messages in a timely manner
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work)
- 2 years of experience providing therapy in a telehealth setting using a variety of modalities
- Independent license to practice mental health therapy without supervision (e.g., LPC/LMHC, LCSW/LICSW, LMFT, or PsyD)
- Professional liability insurance
- HIPAA-compliant professional and secure location to perform sessions
- Ability to provide sessions via Zoom on a computer or laptop with a camera and microphone
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working with college students or in a similar setting
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices and treatment modalities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate effectively to a wide range of people
- Ability to assess risk and refer to Uwill's Clinical Support team as needed
