Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced and skilled Weekend Night Shift Maintenance Technician I to join our facilities team at the Deckers Brands Distribution Center in Mooresville, Indiana. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, modification, and repair activities. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities, including PLC-controlled equipment, pneumatic power, and electrical systems with voltages up to 480 volts.
- Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, and others, representing the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.
- Document all work activities, including labor, parts, and inventory used, and close work orders to provide documented records of maintenance performed.
- Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required.
- Complete pass-down logs to inform co-workers of the operational status of facilities and equipment.
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities, including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repairing racking, and moving and setting up office furniture.
- Perform minor troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment and other industrial systems.
Essential Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.
- 2-4 years of experience working with conveyors, pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills, and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and diagrams.
- Experience working with high and low voltage, AC and DC electrical systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety procedures.
- Conversational Spanish skills are a plus.
- Valid Driver's License and Fork Lift Certification are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hand and power tools, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Outlook, and Word programs.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with a strong customer focus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact and communicate with co-workers and managers in a cooperative and constructive manner.
