About the Role
As a Solutions Architect, People Technology, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that meet the HR needs of DoorDash. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, business leaders, and stakeholders to understand requirements, develop technical solutions, and provide guidance throughout the implementation cycle. Your contributions will help shape the future of our organization as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions that meet the HR needs of DoorDash, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Lead projects, optimize technology solutions, and help build and deliver on the overall People Tech and Analytics roadmap.
- Work exceptionally cross-functionally with all levels of management to learn the right technology solutions to support and grow People Technology and Analytics capability supporting the global business.
- Dive deep to uncover underlying issues or business problems and turn those issues into solutions.
- Thoroughly document system and reporting requirements and design to build operational excellence with cross-functional partners.
- Create, maintain, and execute testing plans and rollout strategies with company-wide impact.
- Ensure data integrity by understanding it and identifying valuable opportunities to improve, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance to vendors and internal partners throughout the implementation cycle.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams of current and future systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest people technologies and industry trends.
- Lead identifying and implementing new opportunities for automation, self-help, and process improvement and collaborate to implement them.
- Drive the design process, including leading technical presentations and demonstrations.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience as a program/product manager or solutions architect in a technical team, preferably in the People space.
- A BA/BS degree in quantitative, business, or related technical fields, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with people data, including security and other regulatory considerations.
- Deep expertise working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and complex data pipelines connecting a multitude of systems. Working knowledge of AWS, Databricks, and similar is a plus!
- Experience using people technology systems (Workday, BambooHR, etc.) to solve problems.
- Ability to see around corners and avoid risk and stumbles.
- Ability to optimize and improve processes while planning for scale.
- Self-motivated, quick learner, excited about developing your analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented, constantly evaluating whether our team's activities are achieving the desired, measurable impact.
- Comfortable and thrive in a high-speed, constantly changing team-oriented environment, and able to simultaneously manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on innovation and growth.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms.
- Certification in people technology or a related field.
