Job Overview
As a Program Specialist-SPARK Virtual Monitor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our virtual tutoring sessions. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring online sessions, providing technical support, and maintaining a positive rapport with students, parents, and staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Follow tutoring schedules for assigned SPARK sites and monitor online tutoring sessions and break-out rooms for a minimum of 4 hours daily.
- Establish and maintain a positive rapport with SPARK staff, students, and parents, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Provide guidance and direction to SPARK students needing Zoom room assistance, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
- Maintain professionalism and enthusiasm while hosting virtual sessions, including keeping your camera on, dressing appropriately, and conversing in a professional manner.
- Participate in required training by the Club, County, State, and/or funder, staying up-to-date with best practices and program developments.
- Conduct virtual tutoring sessions as needed, supporting students in their literacy development and academic growth.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency, with a strong foundation in education or a related field.
- Experience in technology, specifically in Zoom video conferencing, with the ability to learn and adapt to new platforms and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to relate effectively with a diverse population.
- Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
