Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. You will be a key member of our sales floor team, working collaboratively to achieve sales goals, maintain a clean and well-stocked store, and ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Provide customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, greeting customers, and assisting them with selection of merchandise.
- Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, including unloading merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transporting merchandise from stockroom to sales floor.
- Shelf Stocking: Independently stock shelves and recover merchandise in the store, ensuring that the sales floor is well-stocked and organized.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately handle customer funds and process transactions using the POS system, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience for customers.
- Customer Safety: Remain constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, responding promptly to any incidents or concerns.
- Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including supporting sales promotions, participating in inventory management, and contributing to team meetings.
Position Requirements
Education
We prefer candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent. The ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned is essential.
Experience
Previous experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred. We are looking for individuals with a passion for customer service and a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
The ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height is required. You must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Availability
We are seeking individuals who are available to work a flexible, full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
