About the Role: Customer Development Manager (Remote in Texas)
We're seeking an experienced Customer Development Manager to lead sales-related activities for the HEB account, focusing on strategic relationship-building, sales growth, and brand development for Garden of Life, Solgar, Vital Proteins, Orgain, and Nuun brands. As a remote team member based in Texas, you'll collaborate with internal teams, manage customer relationships, and drive business growth through effective sales strategies and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with HEB, focusing on divisional wins, distribution gains, and ACV enhancement.
- Establish strong working relationships with internal teams, including Customer Strategy, Finance, and Customer Service.
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer's go-to-market model, including Category Management strategy, and deliver target budget plans and new product distribution goals.
- Identify new growth opportunities, develop strategic sales plans, and implement operational plans to manage execution and measure results.
- Foster and grow existing and new relationships within the account, understanding current and potential future customer needs.
- Educate business partners on products, retail goals, and measurement of success.
- Deliver customer presentations showcasing innovation, shelf positioning, promotions, and pricing.
- Manage daily business with customers, including UPC product/item setup, maintenance, logistics, and inventory management.
- Sell-in new products and promotions to qualified retailers, ensuring full-line distribution of products.
- Implement Retail initiatives, monitor Retail standards, and manage contracts to strengthen both the customer and blithequark's market position.
- Work with agencies to input Trade Investment Management (TIM and Osprey) system, manage trade funds, and forecast sales.
- Provide monthly reporting, sales analytics, and insights to understand go-to-market strategy and maximize sales efficiency.
- Manage P&L within the respective account coverage.
Qualifications and Education:
We prefer candidates with:
- At least 2-5 years of experience managing large customers, with a background in sales within the Grocery, Drug, and/or Mass retail channels.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- Experience in consumer goods and Vitamins and supplements.
- Prior experience using syndicated data to determine customer needs and establish effective pricing and promotional activities.
- Knowledge of Project Management and experience setting up and managing projects in complex, fast-moving environments.
- Strong cross-functional relationships with assigned accounts.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
