Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Project Manager at FedEx, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing multiple projects, initiatives, and teams to drive success and exceed customer expectations
- Developing, managing, and tracking project plans to satisfy the accepted scope, budget, and timeline
- Defining and managing project scope, budget, and timeline, and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned
- Escalating project issues to upper management and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and issues
- Communicating project status and progress to team members, stakeholders, and sponsors on a regular basis
- Managing and controlling project costs, and ensuring that all expenses are within budget
- Developing and implementing risk management plans and mitigation strategies to minimize project risks
- Collaborating with vendors and clients to ensure that project deliverables are met and that customer expectations are exceeded
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in a technical or professional environment with at least two (2) years of leading move-functional initiatives
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the offered job or three (3) years of experience in a technical or professional environment with at least two (2) years of leading move-functional initiatives
- Experience with software competencies, such as the use of Microsoft Office software and web-based tools
- Verbal and written communication skills essential to communicate with all levels of management
- Presentation skills vital to facilitate training and/or deliver data presentations to groups and/or individuals
- Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple tasks, accurately prioritize workload, plan for resources to fulfill deadlines and goals, and respond to daily routine needs
- Ability to assume and perceive issues and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to increase effective and efficient solutions
- Knowledge of standards, practices, rules, and processes related to subject operations
- Modeling and mentoring skills
- SAS experience
- Understanding of Agile project management methodology
- Records analytics experience
- Maintenance and improvement experience
- Root cause evaluation and troubleshooting experience
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial:
- Experience with FedEx operations and processes
- Knowledge of FedEx's organizational change management (OCM) framework and requirements
- Experience with project management software and tools
- Knowledge of business requirements specifications (BRS) and FedEx work requests (FWRs)
- Experience with vendor management and procurement
