About the Role
As a Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing essential support to the Airline steward workforce, fostering a culture of trust, respect, and excellence. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building positive relationships with leaders and Airline stewards to maintain workforce engagement, commitment, and flexibility.
- Performance-based management of large teams of Airline stewards on KPIs such as security, reliability, customer satisfaction, and financials.
- Promoting a culture of safety, health, and well-being, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
- Addressing Quality Assurance issues, such as uniform compliance and overall performance.
- Collaborating with base support staff, various departments, and internal/external partners to drive continuous improvement.
- Participating in leadership flying programs and supporting the Airline steward team.
- Proactively responding to and following up on time-sensitive matters and competing priorities.
- Providing essential support to Airline stewards before, during, and after flights.
- Acting as a liaison and support for assigned projects within the base and/or department.
- Communicating regularly with remote Airline steward workforce.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- The ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
- The capacity to handle confidential information with professionalism, caution, and discretion.
- Proven consistent problem-solving skills in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
- Experience in training and delivering feedback for developmental purposes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to complete initial Airline steward training and maintain qualifications.
In addition to these essential qualifications, the following preferred capabilities will give you a competitive edge:
- Two years of experience in In-Flight Administration, three years of Delta experience, and/or external supervisory experience.
- A four-year college education.
- Working knowledge of internal Delta-specific applications.
