Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Type in data provided directly from customers, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
• Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, using MS Office tools such as Excel.
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Update existing data, making sure that all information is current and up-to-date.
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, providing timely and efficient support to the team.
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation, following established protocols and procedures.
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Fast typing skills, with a strong knowledge of touch typing systems (strongly preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets, including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices.
• Basic understanding of databases and data management principles.
