Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our High-Level Investigation, Content team at blithequark. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in applying scientific rigor to enhance our content portfolio, marketing, and delivery system. You will have the opportunity to work with large-scale, high-dimensional data to drive business decisions, identify neglected customer needs, and uncover new content opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced analytics methods (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning) to large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions
- Analyze customer behavior (e.g., type preferences, viewing patterns) to identify neglected customer needs and undiscovered content opportunities
- Predict content engagement to guide acquisition decisions
- Optimize our content launch and episode release strategy
- Test marketing strategies to improve engagement and retention
- Develop and implement new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both tactical and strategic guidance
- Provide ad-hoc analytics support to stakeholders to help drive the business forward
- Effectively communicate significant results through compelling data storytelling across the organization
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in Data Analysis
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with R or Python
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques: decision trees, regression, classification, etc.
- Proven ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems
