**Responsibilities**
As a Customer Account Support Specialist, you'll play a critical role in servicing our large and growing portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* **Contacting customers**: You'll reach out to customers to determine the reason for payment delinquency and negotiate payments.
* **Handling accounts**: You'll handle accounts with speed and accuracy while maintaining professionalism, confirming and/or negotiating payment arrangements, and researching any discrepancies.
* **Meeting performance standards**: You'll complete phone calls to meet required performance standards and metrics, maintaining established objectives for delinquency, repossessions, and net losses.
* **Using computerized systems**: You'll utilize our computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.
* **Documenting accounts**: You'll document all accounts accurately, clearly, and concisely, noting the reason for delinquency.
* **Providing accurate information**: You'll respond to customer inquiries with accurate information, using professionalism and integrity.
* **Complying with laws and regulations**: You'll adhere to all state and federal laws in the handling of accounts.
**Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* **Excellent communication skills**: You'll possess excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
* **Attention to detail**: You'll be meticulous in your work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
* **Professional phone etiquette**: You'll maintain a professional tone and demeanor on the phone.

* **Persuasive negotiation skills**: You'll be able to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes effectively.
* **Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications experience**: You'll have experience using Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications.
* **Basic typing/data entry skills**: You'll possess basic typing and data entry skills.
* **Ability to multi-task**: You'll be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
**Education and Experience**
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
* **High School or Equivalent**: You'll have a high school diploma or equivalent.
* **Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree**: An associates degree or bachelor's degree in business or a related field may be used in lieu of experience.
* **Prior experience in financial services**: Prior experience in financial services or a similar industry is preferred.
