Job Description: The VP of Consultant Engagement is a strategic, people-centered leader responsible for building and scaling Evergreen’s recruitment and talent attraction team in partnership with the SVP. The VP of Consultant Engagement brings deep healthcare consulting recruiting experience and proven approaches to help shape the team’s direction. This leader will expand our talent network and build the data, insights, and operating rhythm needed to deliver on our strategic services team models and rapid-turnaround staffing needs.  The VP of Consultant Engagement ensures Evergreen attracts, engages, and hires exceptional people who reflect our values and advance our mission to create authentic partnerships that improve healthcare. This leader serves as a trusted advisor and partner to senior Evergreen leaders, bringing market intelligence, pipeline insights, and KPI-driven decision support to strengthen our ability to place high-quality consultants.  Operating in a player-coach model, the VP balances hands-on recruiting with team leadership, personally engaging in and closing strategic hires while building scalable systems and approaches that enable the broader team to succeed. They will continue to develop and coach a high-performing team, while establishing the data, dashboards, and operating rhythm needed to improve consistency and predictability in hiring outcomes over time.    The person in this role actively contributes to Evergreen’s culture of belonging, where everyone feels welcome and supported, and embodies Evergreen’s commitment to being the Best Place to Work by living our values: Care Personally, Extend Grace, Be Responsive, Take Ownership, Be Transparent, and Innovate.  SALARY & TRAVEL Starting at $170,000+ depending on experience, in addition to bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package. Travel up to 20% per year.  WHAT YOU’LL OWN  The VP of Consultant Engagement has end-to-end ownership of Evergreen’s recruiting, performance, and operational excellence in support of both our strategic team models and rapid turn-around staffing roles across a cross-section of healthcare and technology capabilities.     This includes:  - Consultant pipeline development, hiring, and predictability: Increasing Evergreen’s probability of attracting and placing key consultants through strong pipelines, conversion improvements, and risk management. - Data & insights ownership: Building and owning team dashboards, KPIs, funnel analytics, and hiring forecasts that leaders trust and use. - Operating model ownership: Defining recruiting processes, tools, and rhythms that scale (intake, prioritization, calibration, governance). - Strategic partnership: Advising leaders on market reality, tradeoffs, and actions that improve outcomes. - Team leadership: Building, coaching, and developing a high-performing Consultant Engagement recruiting team aligned to Evergreen’s culture and growth.    WHAT YOU’LL DO  Consultant Pipeline Ownership  - Design and execute scalable strategies to attract, engage, and retain high quality consultants aligned to current and future demand across strategic and staffing needs  - Build and maintain long-term relationships with high caliber consultants and industry leaders.  - Monitor market trends, compensation insights, and competitive intelligence to inform pipeline and workforce strategies.  - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure pipeline readiness and health.  - Collaborate with SVP of Consultant Experience and other internal stakeholders to enhance the team structure to ensure the Consultant Engagement team can meet the needs of the business for advisory and leadership positions.   Data, Insights, KPIs & Consultant Pipeline Predictability   - Own recruiting metrics, dashboards, and performance visibility, ensuring leaders have real-time insight into pipeline health, funnel conversion, hiring risk, and likelihood-to-fill.  - Establish a consistent operating rhythm for reviewing hiring progress, risks, and mitigation actions with leadership.  - Translate data and market signal into crisp recommendations: where to adjust requirements, level, compensation, process, or sourcing strategy to improve outcomes.  - Identify and remove bottlenecks that slow decision-making or reduce candidate conversion.  Workforce Planning, Capacity & Performance  - Partner with the SVP and senior leaders to anticipate hiring, redeployment, and capability needs.  - Plan and scale internal recruiting and Consultant Experience team capacity to support business growth.  - Own scorecards, KPIs, and performance insights that surface risk and guide prioritization.  - Turn data into clear actions that improve predictability and outcomes.  Leadership & Operating Excellence  - Build, coach, and lead a high performing Consultant Engagement leadership team.  - Partner cross functionally to ensure an integrated, end-to-end consultant lifecycle.  - Establish scalable operating models, processes, and standards that support growth.  - Model and reinforce a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES  - Model Evergreen’s mission and values in every interaction.  - Build strong internal and external partnerships.  - Communicate with clarity, candor, and respect.  - Lead or support cross functional initiatives related to consultant experience and people strategy.  - Embrace change and continuous improvement as Evergreen evolves.  - Attend Evergreen’s annual in-person retreat.    QUALIFICATIONS  Required Qualifications  - 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition/recruiting, consultant engagement, and workforce planning.  - 5+ years of people leadership experience in healthcare consulting services including both staff augmentation and strategic services models.   - Proven success building and scaling people or consultant pipelines in healthcare, consulting, or tech adjacent industries.  - Experience supporting executive level hiring, workforce planning, and performance measurement.  - Strong analytical and data driven decision-making capabilities.  - Exceptional relationship building and communication skills.  - High integrity, emotional intelligence, and a servant leadership mindset aligned to Evergreen’s culture.  - Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, evolving organization with shared ownership and accountability.    Other Required Qualifications  Should you travel on-site to a client site, or a partner of Evergreen, and specific vaccinations are required by the client/partner, Evergreen does require our staff to meet these requirements.
