Join Littera Education as a Virtual Math Tutor and make a difference in the lives of students across the United States! We are seeking passionate and experienced math tutors to support learners in grades 6, 7, and 8 with middle school math concepts. As a Virtual Math Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students remotely, providing high-quality tutoring support and helping them achieve their academic goals.
At Littera Education, we prioritize a consistent student-tutor relationship, and our tutors are matched with the same student(s) multiple times a week, for a series of weeks. We offer a flexible schedule, allowing you to choose your own availability and work at times that suit you best. Our virtual tutoring platform provides a comprehensive curriculum, and you will have access to a range of resources and tools to support your teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual math tutoring support to students in grades 6, 7, and 8
- Build strong relationships with students and support their academic growth
- Review and prepare lesson materials to deliver high-quality tutoring sessions
- Utilize online virtual tools and technology to facilitate engaging and effective tutoring sessions
- Commit to a consistent schedule, with a minimum of 3-4 days per week, between 8am-9am EST
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with school-age learners
- Consistent ongoing calendar availability, with a minimum of 3-4 days per week
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with online virtual tools and technology
- Desktop or laptop with Chrome browser, video camera, and reliable internet connection
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but college students with 1+ years of relevant experience are welcome to apply
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate of $18 per hour, with the potential to earn $22 per hour for high school algebra I sessions
