Job Role :: Power BI + Grafana Developer
Engagement: 6-month minimum possible Contract-to-Hire
Location: On-site, 3 days per week at 1500 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77056
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a Power BI + Grafana resource to support their team. The primary focus will be on data modeling and analysis, with visualization as a secondary task. The candidate will work closely with users to gather requirements and iteratively deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work primarily with Power BI for data modeling and analysis.
• Use Grafana for data visualization and reporting.
• Gather, integrate, and relate data from multiple sources, including Snowflake (US & AUS instances), Excel, and SharePoint lists.
• Interact directly with users to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Participate in an iterative process to refine solutions with end-users.
Required Experience & Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in data modeling and visualization.
• Strong data analysis skills; 80% of the role focused on data handling and modeling.
• Intermediate to senior-level proficiency in Power BI (primary) and Grafana (secondary).
• Ability to bring together data from different systems, assess relationships, and determine integration points.
• Experience in oil & gas is a plus.
Data Sources & Tools:
• Snowflake (US & AUS instances)
• Excel
• SharePoint lists
• Grafana for visualization
• Custom data science platform (Python scripting)
Users & Use Cases:
• Users are primarily involved in liquid natural gas operations.
• Example tasks include permit tracking and other operational data analysis.
