About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Truck Dispatcher to join our Operations team. This is a hybrid role based out of our Hoffman Estates, IL office or completely remote.
As a Dispatcher at Matrix, you are more than a load coordinator—you are a key operator responsible for keeping freight moving safely, legally, and efficiently. You will work closely with drivers, internal teams, and customers to ensure every load is executed with precision, professionalism, and full regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Do
• Coordinate and schedule daily driver assignments, pickups, and deliveries
• Monitor real-time shipment status using GPS and TMS tools
• Communicate proactively with drivers to provide updates, solve issues, and support safe operations
• Respond to customer inquiries with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism
• Partner with internal teams to ensure service expectations and compliance standards are met
• Ensure strict adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and HazMat regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation and support exception management when issues arise
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in truck dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation planning
• Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Experience using TMS platforms and GPS tracking tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to problem-solve calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with HazMat freight and compliance standards
• Strong organizational skills, including documentation and compliance tracking
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, hybrid environment
• Experience in the transportation industry
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field
• Fluency in Polish, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, or Serbian is a plus
