Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Learning Experience Designer to join our Amazon Flex team in New York City, NY. As a Senior Learning Experience Designer, you will collaborate with global stakeholders to design and develop engaging learning experiences that equip our delivery partners with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. You will be responsible for creating scalable systems to produce high-quality learning content, including online modules, infographics, tutorials, and multimedia products.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Global Stakeholders: Work independently with limited guidance to solve complex learning problems and deliver solutions that meet the needs of our delivery partners.
Design and Develop Learning Content: Create scalable systems to produce high-quality learning content, including online/mobile-learning modules, infographics, online tutorials, multimedia products (video, graphic, audio, animation), and other training materials.
Curriculum Development and Maintenance: Create, maintain, and improve the curriculum and learning content to ensure that delivery partners receive the right materials to enable them to be successful in their jobs.
Process Improvement: Drive efficiencies on the team by improving, streamlining, or eliminating excess processes.
Global Learning Strategy: Contribute to the overall global learning strategy and help shape the future of learning at Amazon Flex.
Mentorship and Development: Mentor and develop other learning experience designers on the team, sharing knowledge and expertise to help them grow.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
Instructional Design Experience: 6+ years of experience in instructional design, with a focus on creating engaging learning experiences.
Project Management Experience: 4+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Work Samples or Portfolio: A portfolio or work samples showcasing experience using the Adobe Creative Suite or similar to create digital learning content, including animation, film, and graphics.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate Degree: A graduate degree in Instructional Design, Learning, Educational Technology, or a related field.
Industry Certifications: Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and/or content-specific certifications (e.g., CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.).
Startup Experience: Experience working with startup-specific learning content and adapting to changing priorities.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts and processes using clear, simple language and visuals.
Emerging Tech Trends: Experience with emerging tech trends for content creation, such as web-based learning platforms, social learning, gamification, virtual reality, augmented reality, and HTML5.
LMS Experience: Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and reporting and measuring training results and learning effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a total compensation company, we offer a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, including equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation.
