The Role: Senior Software Engineer - Consumer UI Engineering

We're on the hunt for a stellar product engineer to help us deliver groundbreaking features on Netflix's consumer-facing experiences on TV devices. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with designers and product managers to define and refine concepts that will revolutionize the entertainment landscape. Your work will have a direct impact on the viewing experiences of our members across hundreds of different devices, from streaming sticks to smart TVs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship consumer-facing software features that delight our members and drive engagement.
• Lead projects and communicate effectively with multiple cross-functional partners, including designers, product managers, and other engineers.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills, ensuring timely and successful delivery of features.
• Write high-quality, well-documented code that is maintainable, performant, and scalable.
• Identify and componentize common abstractions, with a keen eye on performance and stability in large-scale systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues to elevate the knowledge and skills of the team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.

Essential Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building, and shipping consumer-facing software.
• A track record of leading projects and communicating effectively with cross-functional partners.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with a deep understanding of software development principles.
• Excellent debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for writing elegantly designed, maintainable, and performant software.

What We Offer

At Netflix, we're committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports our employees' well-being and career growth. Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary, and you have the flexibility to choose how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options each year. The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
