AMBOSS is an innovative learning and clinical decision support platform striving to empower physicians across the globe to provide the best possible care. Our founders set out in 2011 to create a platform that they would have hoped to have as medical students and doctors. Since then we have grown to operate in 180 countries and have gained immense traction in Germany and the US across medical students and launched our product for physicians. Currently, we are pursuing our mission with more than 500+ employees in our offices in Berlin, Cologne, New York, and Cagliari.

• Financial Planning: Own the annual budgeting process and facilitate the development of long-term financial plans—aligning financial resources with company priorities and helping shape our strategic direction with clarity, structure, and foresight.

• Performance Monitoring & Quarterly Reviews: Drive the quarterly business review process and provide ongoing performance tracking—analyzing results against targets, identifying trends and variances, and surfacing actionable insights to inform timely, data-driven decisions.

• Strategic Decision Support: Partner closely with senior leadership to deliver actionable insights, evaluate strategic initiatives, and guide key decisions with robust financial modeling and scenario planning.

• Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to market leads and department heads—helping teams understand the financial impact of their decisions and ensuring alignment with company strategy.

• Investment Evaluation: Drive in-depth financial analysis for major initiatives and investments, ensuring the long-term sustainability and scalability of our growth.

• Collaboration: Build strong relationships across teams—including Commercial, Product, Marketing, and People—to support informed decision-making and create transparency around financial performance.

• Experience (ideally 3-5 years) in FP&A, Controlling, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Consulting, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality financial insights and owning end-to-end planning processes.

• Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets. Experience with BI tools, planning software, SQL, or coding is a plus.

• Outstanding communication skills—able to adapt your message for different audiences, from deep-dive discussions with finance peers to high-level presentations for senior leadership.

• A sharp analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations.

• Highly organized and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and independently lead cross-functional initiatives.

• A collaborative, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to work as a team and help others succeed by bringing clarity and insight to their decision-making.

• A strong sense of curiosity and ownership—always looking to improve processes, learn about the business, and grow both personally and professionally.

• Getting into the details to understand the “why” behind the numbers—and then zooming out to see the bigger picture

• Owning your work and making a visible impact across teams and strategic priorities

• Collaborating the broader team and with diverse stakeholders and building trusted relationships across the business
