The Role:
As a Front-End Engineer, you will play a central role in crafting intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that power our AI-driven healthcare applications. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to build elegant, scalable web experiences used daily by clinicians across the country. This is an opportunity to shape critical workflows in a domain where UX directly impacts patient care.
Our Engineering roles are hybrid in our San Francisco office 3x/week.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements in our web applications, focusing on delivering an exceptional user experience.
Take end-to-end ownership of major UI projects—including planning, implementation, and iteration—using modern front-end technologies like TypeScript and React.
Improve and maintain our EMR-integrated frontend components, ensuring seamless usability across various healthcare systems.
Drive development of internal tools and dashboards, supporting operational excellence across product and engineering teams.
Champion front-end engineering best practices, including reusable component design, accessibility, performance optimization, testing, and code reviews.
Contribute to the overall system design and collaborate on interfaces with our backend and platform engineering teams.
Who You Are:
5+ years of front-end engineering experience with a strong grasp of React, TypeScript, and component-based architecture.
A demonstrated track record of delivering polished, responsive, and user-centric web applications.
Deep understanding of front-end fundamentals including performance tuning, accessibility, responsive design, and testing frameworks.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills—you thrive in cross-functional teams and actively contribute to product conversations.
Passionate about quality, maintainability, and thoughtful interaction design.
Willingness to commute to our San Francisco office 3x per week and travel 4x per year for team offsites and clinician shadowing sessions.
A mission-driven mindset with genuine interest in improving healthcare through technology.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience working in high-ambiguity environments, such as early-stage startups or greenfield product development.
Flexibility to work across the stack and comfort engaging with backend APIs and infrastructure as needed.
Pay Transparency
We offer a base compensation range of approximately $175,000–$275,000 per year, exclusive of equity. This intentionally broad range provides flexibility for candidates to tailor their cash and equity mix based on individual preferences. Our compensation philosophy prioritizes meaningful equity grants, enabling team members to share directly in the impact they help create. If your expectations fall outside of this range, we still encourage you to apply—our approach to compensation considers a range of factors to ensure alignment with each candidate's unique needs and preferences.
