About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist in our Care Delivery Analytics & Behavior Change team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of CVS Health's care delivery ecosystem. You'll work closely with cross-functional business partners to understand their goals and objectives, develop predictive models, and generate insights that drive business decisions. Your expertise will help us predict future outcomes, solve complex business problems, and enhance the overall patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced statistical predictive models and algorithms to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes, driving business growth and improvement.
- Perform in-depth analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve complex business problems, utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand their problems and goals, developing predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports, and performance metrics that drive decision-making.
- Develop and participate in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions, communicating technical concepts and implications to business partners.
- Interact with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Join forces with the Data Engineering team to ensure the availability and integrity of data required for analytics, ML ops for deployment, and identify opportunities for data integration, automation, and augmentation.
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in data science and advanced analytics, with a strong background in developing and applying predictive models and algorithms.
- 5+ years' experience writing complex and efficient SQL code and leveraging exploratory data analysis techniques to develop insights from data.
- 3+ years' experience with Python and building ML models (e.g., Vertex AI or Amazon Sagemaker).
- 2+ years' experience leveraging Cloud technologies (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks) and overseeing end-to-end model development from ideation through solution development to deployment/monitoring.
- 2+ years' experience working within the US healthcare system, including provider, payor, and regulatory landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm or an in-house consulting role, with a strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
- Forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur.
- Solid understanding of the US healthcare system, including provider, payor, and regulatory landscape, and understanding of Medicare and Medicaid programs.
- Thorough understanding of care delivery solutions (e.g., Value Based Care, In-Home Evaluations, e-consults, etc.).
- Proven attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Experience within an agile product development framework.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
