Job Summary
The Client Interchanges group is responsible for all email, application push, and SMS communications between Wayfair and our clients. Within this group, the Senior Business Analyst - High-Level Investigation and Significant Advancements role will sit under Wayfair North America Bunch Email and report into that group's lead. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will have the opportunity to shape the specific obligations of this newly formed role according to your interests and strengths. You will be responsible for driving data-driven insights, advancing channel testing, and serving as our marketing data-informed authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Analysis and Insights:
- Perform impromptu deep-dive investigations that require advanced SQL and data table knowledge.
- Lead knowledge-driven roadmapping, identifying potential opportunities for channel improvement based on examinations performed.
- Data Mastery:
- Serve as the primary partner for Marketing Data Engineering, acting as the essential resource consistently, focusing on medium-term asks (run planning), and shaping the long-term guide.
- Become the informed authority on data tables (e.g., what data is available, where it lives, how we should utilize it, and extensively imparting these across the broader group).
- Significant Advancement Strategy Execution:
- Work on and influence Significant Shopping Occasion Methodology, incorporating engaging creative partners, managing timetables, and executing the learning plan for the workstream.
- Performance Reporting for Advancements:
- Normalize channel measurements and create adaptable dashboards across stores/geos.
- Plan execution investigations and draft stories.
- Field execution-related inquiries from MSO and Trends.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Technical studies, Financial matters, Business, or related fields with a quantitative concentration.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience preferably in a data-heavy role or in marketing, management consulting, startup/tech, finance, or potentially strategy fields.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis and advanced SQL data and Google Sheets/Excel utilization.
- Fervor about finding patterns in data.
- Knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent critical thinking and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to distill and convey complex ideas and influence senior-level and cross-functional partners.
- Capacity to own and execute on solutions to complex problems independently.
