We’re looking for a detail‑oriented, resourceful researcher who can build a targeted list of journalists in the United States who cover a specific niche topic. If you’re skilled at digging into media databases, verifying contacts, and organizing clean, accurate lists, this project will be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
Identifying U.S.-based journalists who actively write about dogs
Collecting and verifying key contact details, including:
Full name
Publication / outlet
Email address (or best available contact method)
Location (if available)
Links to recent relevant articles
Organizing all data into a clean, well‑structured spreadsheet
Ensuring all contacts are current, relevant, and genuinely aligned with the niche
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in media research, list building, or PR support
Familiarity with tools like MuckRack, Cision, LinkedIn, or advanced Google search techniques
Strong attention to detail — accuracy matters more than volume
Ability to verify information and avoid outdated or irrelevant contacts
Clear communication and reliability throughout the project
Deliverables
A spreadsheet (Google Sheets or Excel) containing verified journalists. Number to be determined during interview.
All fields completed to the highest accuracy possible
