The Renewable Energy Junior Analyst position involves performing market research and analysis in the renewable energy sector, including data collection and economic trend analysis.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze and interpret basic information and renewable energy market trends
- Gather information on renewable energy markets, trends, and development in the area by online research
- Perform interviews with developers and other market participants to identify trends and data in the renewable energy market
- Assist in writing renewable energy asset appraisals of proposed and existing installations
- Assist with other duties, projects or manager requests as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in related area plus 1-3 years of renewable energy research and market analysis and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; this position involves a great deal of web-based research
- Display strong analytical skills, including the ability to gather information, conduct analyses and present findings
- Solid organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively manage a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities
- Strong computer skills, including solid skill in the Microsoft Office suite (prefer advanced skill in Excel)
- Available for domestic travel as needed, including ability to drive, fly, and/or rent a car to designated sites for in-person visits
- Renewable energy asset appraisal experience a plus
