We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Remote Ocean Strategy Specialist to join our team at FedEx Logistics. As a key player in our ocean product development, you will execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes, enhance carrier development, and analyze carrier performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase ocean volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality
- Work closely with the Managing Director of Ocean to support carrier development, pricing, and service issues
- Analyze carrier performance, routings, and service issues to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to communicate strategy, market conditions, and direction
- Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
- Manage annual budget, control, monitor, and report results to achieve budget targets
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry
- Direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing
- Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong business acumen and leadership skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
