Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry and Management: Enter information with a high degree of speed and accuracy into our customer information system and other software applications.
- Account Maintenance: Establish and maintain utility accounts, verify account eligibility and accessibility, and perform other related tasks.
- Work Order Preparation: Prepare, distribute, and complete work orders as needed.
- Customer Communications: Prepare files for mass customer communications and assist with mailing billing statements and other notices.
- Document Management: Scan or retain documents as required.
- Audit and Quality Control: Perform monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Performance Tracking: Enter data into Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking databases to support business operations.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED).
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist.
- Computer Skills: Must pass computer skills testing to demonstrate proficiency in using software applications.
- Typing and Accuracy: Must pass typing and accuracy testing to demonstrate the ability to enter data with a high degree of speed and accuracy.
- 10-Key Skills: Must pass 10-key skills testing to demonstrate proficiency in using a numeric keypad.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
- Education: Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or a related field.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist.
