Key Responsibilities
- Execute direct patient care programs, including Drug Treatment Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects.
- Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services by analyzing, assessing, and re-engineering processes; monitoring and analyzing results; and implementing changes.
- Lead local pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies to company financial goals and executing patient intervention pharmacy projects to maximize financial performance.
- Enhance patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, such as patient counseling, medication therapy reviews, and retail, clinical, or health services, including vaccinations, disease state management, and Specialty programs.
- Provide expertise, resources, training, and support to pharmacists and field leaders, and promote collaboration and advances pharmacy staff by fostering a shared vision and supporting company policies, strategies, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Conduct data and clinical reviews and take necessary actions to ensure accuracy and propriety of medications, and review patient profiles to guarantee safe medication treatment.
- Provide individualized patient/supplier counseling and feedback concerning the effectiveness of the Client Retention Program.
- Respond to inquiries, transactions, and issues related to patient care, and provide clinical consultation and information to patients, physicians, and insurance plans on a case-by-case basis.
- Perform other work consistent with the job obligations outlined in this document as assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:
- Current Pharmacist license as permitted by the appropriate state licensing authority.
- Experience motivating colleagues to research and resolve issues.
- Experience working with confidential data.
- Ability to work non-standard hours, which may include nights, holidays, and/or weekends.
- Experience utilizing time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and following details and meeting time constraints of multiple tasks with varying completion dates.
- Experience creating plans to achieve goals with minimal supervision, relying on oneself to complete targets, and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following preferred qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary.
- Knowledge of insurance plans.
- Familiarity with computer operating systems, including Radio, Commitment, and Plus.
- Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
