Job Summary
As a Paraeducator Cross Cat SE, you will work closely with certified teachers and other support staff to provide individualized instruction, behavioral support, and academic assistance to students with IEPs. Your primary goal will be to help students achieve their academic and personal goals, while also contributing to a positive and productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities
- Implement individual or small group instructional lessons under the supervision of a certified teacher, aligning with the students' IEP goals and objectives.
- Familiarize yourself with the goals and objectives for mainstream and IEP students in the classroom, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each student's needs.
- Facilitate the implementation of functional community-based curriculum as assigned, promoting student engagement and socialization.
- Follow through on set behavioral programs and procedures, documenting student behavior as directed by the teacher.

- Escort students within the building as directed by the classroom teacher, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Work cooperatively with the classroom teacher to assist with activities specific to the students' IEPs, promoting a collaborative and student-centered approach.
- Lift, transfer, position, toilet, etc. (for special skills positions only), demonstrating physical agility and quick response time.
- Provide input to the classroom teacher regarding student-para interactions, contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Licensure
- Para Educator, Substitute, Professional Educator, or Provisional Educator License required.
- Minimum education requirement for a Para Educator License is completion of at least 60 semester hours of college course work or a passing score on the ETS Para Pro exam or two specific Work Keys exams.
Language Skills
- Bilingual - Spanish/English (written/verbal) preferred, with certain assignments requiring bilingual skills.
