Job Summary
As an Ocean Product Development and Strategy Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth of ocean volumes and enhancing the development of our ocean product. You will work closely with the Managing Director of Ocean and other stakeholders to analyze carrier services, develop pricing strategies, and implement plans to increase volumes and maximize competitiveness. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of our ocean product
- Collaborate with the Managing Director of Ocean and other stakeholders to analyze carrier services, develop pricing strategies, and implement plans to increase volumes and maximize competitiveness
- Support sales and operations teams as an ocean subject matter expert, providing guidance on ocean-related issues and opportunities
- Assist in implementing pricing programs, reviewing volume targets, and developing ocean strategies to achieve account development and yield enhancement goals
- Communicate strategies, market conditions, and direction to internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, and operations teams
- Work closely with product, sales, and operations teams to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, minimizing company risk and optimizing performance
- Provide direct and indirect customer contact, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in ocean freight, logistics, or a related industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong business acumen, with a focus on driving growth, maximizing competitiveness, and enhancing customer satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in ocean freight, logistics, or a related industry
- Certification in logistics or a related field (e.g., Certified Logistics Professional, Certified Supply Chain Professional)
- Experience with pricing strategies, volume targets, and ocean-related regulations and compliance issues
