Remote/Work from Home options are available for residents of Idaho and Washington. Key Responsibilities ? Assign codes for diagnoses and procedures using the appropriate classification systems for all patient classes. ? Accurately assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and ICD-10-CM/CPT4 procedure codes following coding principles. ? Ensure that codes accurately reflect patients' comorbidities and complications. ? Abstract data from medical records and conduct audits to verify coding and grouping accuracy. ? Collaborate with the billing department to address and correct any coding and billing claim errors. Requirements ? High School diploma or equivalent; Associate?s Degree required; Bachelor?s Degree preferred. ? Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or coding certification (CCS or CPC) is required. ? A minimum of one (1) year of coding experience with ICD-10 and CPT is essential. ? Knowledge of Rural Health Clinic (RHC) and Critical Access Hospital (CAH) standards, as well as state medical record requirements, is preferred. Why Join Us?
